I was about 6 when I had my reaction during a routine tonsil removal. I am now scheduled to have a c-section becuase I have a narrow pelvis. I would be able to have a spinal normally but as of 5 days ago I've contracted chicken pox and they are concerned about ensefalitis forming if the injection site is effected by the chicken pox. If they feel they cannot do the spinal I will have to be put under. What drugs are safe? I'm confused my this safe list and don't know what else to look up at this point.

Your anesthesiologist will know what are the safe drugs to use during general anesthesia. The list of drugs NOT to use is simple to remember. No gas anesthetics (nitrous oxide is safe though) and no succinylcholine, the paralyzing agent used by anesthesiologists. A good deal of information is posted in our brochures on line.
