Welcome to the MH-susceptible Patient and their Family's Portion of the MHAUS Website
MHAUS strives to promote patient safety and awareness by providing Informational resources to help patients and families prepare when it comes to anesthesia.
The website offers a Message Board where informal discussion is placed between MHS family members or medical professionals. We offer a large variety of services and printed materials. For example, wallet cards listing the safe and unsafe drugs, sample letters to inform relatives and local hospitals, a letter for insurance concerns and a list of Biopsy Centers.
To make sure patients are safe and prepared, MHAUS offers a Medical identification tag program, to alert medical professionals to a patient’s MHS status in the event of an emergency.

The tragedy reminds us that the problem of malignant hyperthermia syndrome is still with us. The goal of MHAUS has been and continues to be elimination of harm from this life threatening, inherited disorder. Our work will not be done until that goal is achieved.
